We offer a long term sober living environment that has enjoyed tremendous success with people who have the disease of addiction maintain sobriety since 1989. The length of stay depends upon the needs of each individual. The key to our success is that we are supportive environment which assists alcoholics and addicts to learn to live a recovery life style. We do not have a 'black out' which allows the residents to become self supportive. Each resident is required to attend a weekly house meeting.
The Journey Home Recovery Center is located in Denham Springs, Louisiana 5miles east of Baton Rouge. Great care has been taken by our staff to create an environment that is not only conducive to the recovery process, but one where residents feel at home. We offer an open ended aftercare program designed to meet the specific needs of each individual resident. The Journey Home is based upon a foundation offering respect, support, and empowerment to females facing addictions.
Rising Sun has extremely clean and well run houses. It feels like a home not an institution. Staff is very caring and compassionate, but firm. Rent is $400/mo which includes everything except food and clothing. Houses have wireless internet, cable, phone w/ld calling and 2 computers available for job search. There are several bikes in the garage for residents use; however many AA/NA meetings are within walking distance. We are located near mall and many other employment opportunities. Located 1/2 block from new 2-story library.
